Our agency provides several educational programs, including:
Project Safe and Smart
Project Safe and Smart provides child abuse prevention education for children and adults in York County.
Safe Touches Program
Safe Touches, created by the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, utilizes an interactive puppet show to teach children that it's okay to: Trust Your Feelings, Try to Say No, Try to Walk Away, and Tell an Adult about touches that may make them feel scared, nervous, or uncomfortable. The program is currently being presented to second-grade students in ten of York County's Public-School Districts. Beginning in January 2025, Safe Touches will be offered to all students in grades K-3.
Smarter Parents Safer Kids Workshops
Smarter Parents Safer Kids is a Parent-Focused Child Sexual Abuse Prevention workshop that offers caregivers valuable information about children's healthy sexual development, promoting child safety, and parent-child communication related to sexual abuse. Smarter Parents can be delivered online or via in-person workshops. Parents/caregivers can register for upcoming workshops through this link.
